The help we offer

  • Someone to give time and a listening ear, with whom you can talk over what happened to you
  • Emotional support
  • Help in dealing with public services – like the police or the local Council
  • Help in making a claim for Criminal Injuries compensation
  • Information about local services or about the Criminal Justice system
  • Help – if you are on a low income – in making your home more secure
  • Help when attending Court

If English is not your first language we can arrange for an interpreter

 

The crimes we deal with

  • We deal with any crime, so please contact us if you believe you have been a victim of crime.
  • The sorts of crime we most often deal with are: burglary; all kinds of assaults and violence of any kind – including domestic violence; rape and sexual assault; robbery; theft and deception; threats, bullying and harassment – including racial harassment.
  • We offer what help we can to families and friends of murder victims.
  • Sometimes the crime may have happened a long time ago but you are still suffering from the effects of it, for example - abuse when a child. Please contact us if you think we might be able to help.
